ABACUS # The Best & No.1 Tools For Overall Brain Development

Abacus

What is Abacus:

ABACUS  the term comes from “abax”  ( greek word ) which means computing board or calculating table according to UCMAS. Abacu is a tool or an instrument or a device used for fast calculations and to develop mental math. Abacus is also called a counting frame. It has been used since ancient times. It was used in the ancient Mesopotamians of Sumeria.” Tim Cranmer” is known as the father of Abacus . He was blind and he built an abacus to help himself to calculate. Blind people still use his abacus for calculation.

The first counting machine  invented as an abacus in 300-500 BC that counting device used in Greek as Salmia Table, Roman used- Roman Calculi. In 1400 CE the Apic coin board was used in the middle ages. Modern age 1200 AD onwards Chinese abacus is known as Suanpan, Japanese abacus is known as Sorbon and Russian abacus is known as Schoty. Mesopotamian or Sumerian is also one of the oldest human civilizations who used Abacus as a counting tool.

Abhidharmakosabhasyam is a popular book by Vasubandhu, who was a philosopher and a Buddhist scholar. This book shows how the Abacus was used in ancient India…. But the exact origin of Abacus is still unknown                                                                                                                       What is  Abacus? :

It is a mechanical device that is used to calculate arithmetic calculations quickly, also referred to as a counting frame. It comprises a rectangular frame that holds vertically organized rods on which beads move up and down. The abacus itself does not calculate, it simply a device for helping human beings to calculate by remembering what has been counted.

How is the abacus calculated?:

It is an instrument used to do arithmetic calculation super fast. Calculations are based on beads movements. It is a rectangular frame with vertical rods or columns containing lower and upper beads. There is a horizontal beam separating the lower and upper beads. The lower beads have a value 1 each when moved towards the horizontal beam. The upper bead has a value of 5 when it touches the horizontal beam. This way of abacus learning acts as a brain gym tool.

Importance Of Abacuc:

It is a rectangular frame with lower beads and upper beads. Calculations are based on beads movements that have to use the left hand and right hand in the calculations. This way helps in left and right brain coordinations, stimulates brain cells, and improves concentration. It is used for math calculation faster than calculators. Mathematics is used in our daily life, abacus is an excellent skill to learn mental math for calculation and improve the speed in calculations. The student listens to the dictated question, calculates it in mind , uses the fingering method in abacus and ays the answer within a seconds We can solve

WE CAN SOLVE EASILY ADDITION, SUBTRUCTION, MULTIPLICATION AND DIVISION WITH THE HELP OF ABACUS. ACCORDING SCIENTIST’S REVIEWS MAN ONLY INCORPORATE LESS THAN 10% OF HIS BRAIN CAPACITY SO ABACUS HELPS TO IMPROVE..

The tools boosts our brain. It is a method of doing arithmetic calculations using beads movement in an abacus rod. This way of mathematics improves concentration and problem solving skills. The ideal age group is 6 years to 13 years . The courses contain 8 (eight) basic levels and duration for each level is 3 months, so duration of total course is 2 years. Then the child will get the benefits in…

Improve Concentration: when the child learns math through abacus and carries out simple mathematical operations,  the child is also learning to drown out any distraction around them. While they use abacus for calculation then they move on to the simple visualization technique and that helps them assume the abacus in their mind and carry out calculations virtually which helps to improve concentration.

Proficiency In Math: Mathematics is considered to be difficult for most children, though it is the most interesting one if learned correctly. Learning Abacus math leads to a better understanding of calculations since the child is getting developed from all aspects with regular practice and Abacus and visualization makes the child more capable to perform mathematical calculation mentally.

Visualization: In this training process when the child has to do mental calculation, they are encouraged to use visual abacus. This helps them quickly solve problems by imagining the abacus. The child uses the technique and develops their visualization and imagination.

Speed: Time is one of the main factors in an exam/competitive exams and the child needs to be able to give accurate answers in a short time. Abacus learning helps children optimize their time and accuracy.

Numerical Memory: It is a fact that abacus learners place the numbers on the image of an abacus in their imaginative space as the mentally calculated with the abacus way as calculations. An exercise to remember read aloud, memorized and orally recited would improve the numerical memory of learners. Abacus  learner students were found to be far more superior in the accuracy of their memory and the number of digits they were able to hold when compared to the non-abacus childs. The imagination also helped them recite the memorized number backwards. This could only happen  because of the steps involved in the way of abacus calculations in approaching the memory assignment nutshell with such strong benefits to support the use of abacus, more and more schools are imparting abacus education especially at smaller classes. Our brain is largely determined by our genes, each of us has the same chance of maximizing our intelligence. We are all born with an immature brain, which is why it is important to use learning tools in early childhood development . So why not give your little one a chance in life and enroll them in a school that offers abacus math.

Analytical Skills: When the child solves the mathematical problem with the help of Abacus they use their analytical skills and when they learn to solve the same problem with several simple formulas. The child automatically learns to figure out which is the right formula to use, which helps them build analytical skill and also these skills get carried forward and the can use them in real-life situations.
